IEI Introduces SecureConnect for eMerge SecureConnect Services has been introduced, a suite of products and services designed to provide a secure infrastructure and a trusted method of connecting to, managing and servicing the entire eMerge product line remotely. eMerge dealers using this service can provide backup of critical data, email service and report generation for their customers through the SecureConnect infrastructure. It provides dealers with a foundation for offering value-added services to their customers.
The eMerge SecureConnect Manager resides on the protected side of the local network with the eMerge systems it is servicing. The Manager establishes a secure communication “tunnel” from within the protected network. This secure tunnel allows authorized users to connect to the local eMerge system from anywhere Internet service is available.
