With IEI products now available on the General Services Administration Schedule, the opportunities available to the company in government accounts have been significantly enhanced. The GSA Schedule is a government wide procurement vehicle. GSA Schedule 84 includes the security services and a number of other product areas. The approval of the GSA contract means that IEI can market its products to government agencies that require a GSA contract. Max 3 Delivers Faster Communication, Easier Installation and More Functionality ![]() The Max 3 system is the latest addition to IEI’s Secured Series product line. An evolution of the HubMax II and MiniMax II systems, the Max 3 is simple to install and simple to use, yet provides powerful monitoring and control features. With the addition of RS485 communication and the latest version of Hub Manager Professional Software, Max 3 has a 70 percent faster import of event logs stored in the controller over the previous HubMax II systems. Max 3 supports Wiegand readers as well as the complete IEI line of system keypads and readers without the need for an interface module. In and Out readers can also be used on the same Max 3 module to record access and egress activity. Included with the system is the latest version of Hub Manager Professional Software version 7.2.4, which includes new features such as System Dashboard, Set-up Task List, and Dynamic Device Detection. The System Dashboard allows users to lock and unlock doors from their PC as well as view the door status and event log. Set-up Task List displays recommended order of the system setup procedures and includes tutorial video support. Dynamic Device Detection automatically searches the LAN/WAN for any IEI Secure Ethernet Gateway (SEG-1 and Seg-M) and automatically adds it to the system. The Max 3 system can be ordered in convenient single door kits, which include Hub Manager Professional Software, power supplies for booth system and lock hardware, and a proximity reader compatible with HID, AWID, Casi ProxLite, and xCeed id credentials. The Max 3 system is available in two configurations: the Max 3 System which allows for fast and easy expansion one to four doors at a time; and the MiniMax 3 System which is a single door system. This year, Daylight Saving Time (DST) will begin 3 weeks earlier than in past years and end one week later. The change directly affects many access control products, including all IEI products that use time scheduled access control and transaction event recording. You will be required to take steps to accommodate the new DST legislation. The IEI products affected by this change include: eMerge To accommodate our customers, IEI is providing various options on how to handle the change so that your access system will operate properly and allow or disallow access at the proper times.
